Healthy Benefits From Laughter

How many times a day do you laugh?
Do you know we laugh about 100 times more as a child?
Laughing relaxes the body and reduces problems associated with high blood pressure, strokes, arthritis, and ulcers.
Some research suggests that laughter may also reduce the risk of heart disease. Historically, research has shown that distressing emotions (depression, anger, anxiety, and stress) are all related to heart disease.
Laughter can:
reduce stress lower blood pressure elevate mood boost immune system improve brain functioning protect the heart connect you to others foster instant relaxation make you feel good. People who laugh heartily on a regular basis have lower standing blood pressure than the average person. When people have a good laugh, initially the blood pressure increases, but then it decreases to levels below normal. Breathing then becomes deeper which sends oxygen enriched blood and nutrients throughout the body.

Hi, well not really, my background is engineering. I was wondering why would you think so? On the other hand, for 2 years now I been helping my brother to get through college in the same field, and first thing first, I think there should be a course on 'how to study' or solve problems, because kids are smart just don't know how to approach the problem. I must say, I have been quite successful mentoring him...anna :) and to stay on the topic, staying positive and smiling also helps.

Yes I fully agree that laughter can help our mental and physical health. Being happy and positive makes every task a whole lot easier and far less stressful. This can only be a good thing, so KEEP ON SMILING!!!
